hello & good day. i'm looking for advice mainly for the storage drives i'll use but i'll list the complete parts of the build i'll be working on in case there are other issues that you guys might find.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master V8 GTS
MOBO: ASRock Z87 Pro3
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 32GB
GPU: Palit GTX 770 Jetstream 2GB GDDR5
SC: Creative Labs ZXR 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card
PSU: Antec EarthWatts Platinum 650W 80+ Platinum Certified ATX Power Supply

STORAGE:
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
Crucial M500 480GB (big price drop in my area)
Western Digital Red 4TB x3

ODD:
Lite-On IHBS312-98 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer

CHASSIS:
i'm still choosing between these two:
Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Bitfenix Shinobi Window

MISC:
these parts were available in my area so i thought i'd get them if they'd be of any use to me.
NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller
Gskill TurbulenceII Memory Cooler Fan, FTB-3500C5-D
Deepcool IceDisk 2 HDD Cooler
Deep Cool Z9 thermal paste

SilverStone SST-FF123 120mm Ultra Fine Magnetic Fan Filter Black
Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm Case Fan
SilverStone SST-LS01-R Red Led Strips

SCREEN:
LG 24EN43VS 24" Slim LED Monitor x3

this pc will be turned off twice a week at most. if there are parts that can set them to "idle but still turned on mode" or are consuming low power when not in use, for saving electricity that would help. for the storage, i'll use the 120gb for the os, but i'll be looking for a 64gb ssd for the os if there's one available. the 480gb is gonna be used for softwares & games & will act as a temp storage for files that are still being edited (rendering & such) before statshing the completed ones into the 4tb drives. also, is it possible to set 3x 1080p monitors even on just one video card? if it ever's a yes, are there gonna be problems with it?

You can run 3 monitors off a Single Graphics card, my friend has the 4 gb 770 and it's fine.
For general gaming and normal use the 4770k is overkill... I'd recommend the if 4670k and a better Graphics card.
Also, in terms of the CPU Cooler the Corsair h100i with upgraded fans ( SP Quiet editions) would last longer and is better.

i see... i did check the pricing for the h100i & it seems reasonable if i cut money off of other parts... although i picked the 4770k because this pc will be doing some quite intensive 3d renderings & hyperthreading would be quite important as well. although i'm not really sure if it's better to splurge on gpus over cpus or vice versa if the purpose would lean more on professional softwares than games. of course gaming on a higher quality graphics would be a very nice plus but it's purpose is mainly for rendering 3d graphics & studio grade audio (thus the soundcard). most parts i picked for this build are also almost identical to my current build.

what about the hdd & memory cooler? are they gonna be of any help on this build? i'll look for a 4gb model of the palit 770. hope i could get one here... T_T

also, i'm not really sure but do liquid cooling setups require intensive maintenance compared to air cooling? i was also considering that option but backed out because of the maintenance issue. i'm not really that knowledgeable with liquid cooling setups. & also will they fit in the chassis? the h100i seems pretty huge to fit in there specially bec of the number of hdds i'll stash in the build. T_T

The h100i I believe can fit in the top of that case, and it needs no maintenance,
I would recommend the EVGA GTX 770 4GB with the ACX Cooler.

i see... that's nice to know. i'll look it into it some more. if i ever decide to go with h100i & it works out well i'll definitely upgrade my current build with that cooler as well. also, not really sure but what about the liquid coolant? am i supposed to get a separate coolant & add them in the h100i? or do i just have to install this thing & let it work it's magic?

thanks for the answers so far. =)

Nope, you have to do nothing to the Cooler, I would upgrade the fans to the Corsair SP Quiet edition (2 Pack) because the ones that come with the h100i are very loud.

oh yeah that's nice. i sure did looked up the h100i & ok i'll give that a try. this'll be my first water cooled build if ever. i'm quite excited. although i hope everything fits well since i'll add some coolers to the ram & hdd bays... or is that really necessary assuming that it'll be turned on almost 24/7? as far as i know the hard drives to shut their power down or enter some sort of power saving mode if they've been idle for a set period of time. =)

It's not important to, HDD's only get hot when they're constantly written to or read off, and and RAM when it's at a very high speed with a lot of Volt's to make it stable.

i see.. that's good to know. okay last thing i'll ask about is for the ram. if you get the ones with higher frequencies like for 1866 or 2133 & only run them at 1600 if ever that's possible. they do have less risk of overheating since they're not driven to the limits right? please enlighten me about this.
