So if i have the latest driver for my video card, and i want a previous version of that driver, do i just run the executable of that previous driver, and it will overwrite the new one? or will i mess something up. i have NVIDIA btw

Solution
If you have the old version still on your PC you can go to Device Manager, your card then drivers and rollback. If not, you'll have tyo dowload the old one and re-install it then uninstall your new one (to stop automatic updates)

Solution
Go to Control Panel, Device Manager. Click on Display. You should see your Graphics Card. Click on it and a screen opens. Click on Driver - it'll tell you the version currently installed. It'll also let you click rollback if your old driver is still on your pc.

If the old one is no longer on your pc, you'll have to go to the nVidia website and find the series of drivers for your card. The download the previous version (to what is shown in Device Manager). The download will be an executable file which will 'update' your card's driver to that older version.

When the old driver has been installed go to Control Panel Uninstall Programs. You will see a list of programs. Some from nVidia. If any have the newer version in the name of the file you need to uninstall it.

Hope you understand this lot of tech babble. I don't want to write 10 pages on this.
