When I boot up, this is what it does:

1. Enters the 'ASUS Inspiring Innovation . Persistent Perfection' thing, takes about 3 seconds (normal).
2. Starts up with the windows logo (takes 50~60 secs) Normal.

This is where it begins to be abnormal.

3.(I) Black screen for 5 seconds unusual
(II) Cursor comes up after five seconds of black screen unusual
(III) Cursor with little circle (showing busy) after. unusual
(IV) Back to White cursor unusual
(V) Blue-ish circle (indicating not responsive) unusual

4. Finally, back to normal, start screen and usual routine of course! normal.

I am on a laptop. What do you mean what model? Battery model? I do not think it is overvolting.
I have not made any changes. It started 2 months ago, before the boot up time from start to desktop took only 50 seconds without SSD. suddenly, it is to a shocking 100~150 seconds! Its all because of that black screen! I... Words fail me! Its just so maddening! It hangs on the screen for a shockingly, hopelessly, appalingly, disgracefully, indecently, disturbingly, terribly, dismally, whopping 40 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I hope those synonyms tell you how maddening it is!)

No new software, and no, I'm too scared to play with the BIOS settings. My laptop is having its first birthday today.

I'll tell you my laptop battery model:

Li-ion Battery Pack A32-K53
Rating:+10.8 Volts 5200mah, 56Wh
