I'm not too savy on computers or building them for that matter so I was wondering what parts were recommended to build one good enough to run lotro on high settings with no lag problems. I used to play it on an old vista gateway. Before it crapped the bed on me I purchased a new 650w power supply and graphics card AMD radeon 6570 ddr3. So can I use those two components for the new one I build and the case of my old gateway?
Yes you should beable to use the two components and the case (as long it has stand offs.) But the 650w PSU is a bit overkill. And remember that even if your system doesn't need 650w the PSU will still use 650w which means that your using more power than you need and your power bills will be higher than they need to be. And also lotro isn't very demanding so that means that you should get a am1 series cpu ( athon 5450, 5150, sempron 3850) and a cheap am1 mother board which should cost about $60. And you should go with about 2gbs - 4gbs of ram. And if your primarily just playing lotro you should buy a small capacity ssd. And if you really want me to i can assemble a partpickers list for you.
