R7 250x 1gb vs. GT 640 4gb?

First of all I'm not building it myself. I'm customizing it on Ibuypower. The two cards that fit within my budget are an r7 250x 1gb and an gt 640 4gb. I'm mainly going to play Battlefield 4 and Planetside 2 at 720p. Which is the better value and performance?

R7 250X, the gt 640 isn't even a card designed for gaming, the R7 should get you medium settings at 720p on battlefield 4 (i never heard of a 4 GB gt 640, i'm surprised, the 640 is too weak to even use half of that memory)

the r7 250x is far better. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R7-250X-vs-GeForce-GT-640 And remember that you don't have to worry about memory size unless your running a multi monitor or high resolution monitor setup.

It's alright. BTW if your just staying to 720p gaming buy the r7 250x (hd 7770) but if your considering gaming on 1080p monitor and you want a more future proof solution for another $20 you could buy a r7 260x (hd 7790) for a huge performance boost.
