I have a 2gb MSI gtx 670 and a ZT series modular 650W OCZ PSU. I'm considering adding another GTX670 in the mix since the prices are pretty reasonable and the performance benefits look great. I've read that the safe bet is going with a 750w however I'd be very glad if I can get away with this without spending more on the PSU. I don't want to get any complications and I want the rig to run smoothly. Do you think my current PSU can handle it?

No, 650W should be fine. Companies purposely put a higher minimum wattage because of all the cheap psus out there that actually don't output the voltage listed. The OCZ you have is decent.
