This is a fallacy. There are tons of great gaming laptops around that will even play the newest games on max settings and not overheat.
HP and Toshiba are unfortunately the lowest quality manufacturers out there. If you can get an ASUS or Lenovo, you would be better off.
As for CyberPowerPC... they are also not to be trusted. Not sure why anyone would recommend them. Their customer service reps lie and there are tons of negative reviews about them floating around. iBuyPower is in the same boat. If you go to anyone, XoticPC is the way to go.
Well, I don't know why you hate much those brands, But in my experience I've had a couple of those brands (HP, Compaq and Toshiba) which I bought nearly 10 years ago and are still in perfect working condition until now..and I've been using it in several rugged activities. It's just a matter of how well you kept it maintained and your usage style. IMO
Well
statistically HP is the least reliable brand on the market. I used to work for their tech support too. No one has any idea what they're doing and they are just put into a system with scripted questions that all lead to sending someone a packing slip and sending them back a refurbished model.
As for Toshiba, lots of personal experience and friends issues with them, as well as hearing issues repeatedly on here and other communities, and from laptop techs about them carrying some of the worst laptops to need to repair as they keep returning. I'm personally dealing with constant issues on my father's Toshiba laptop now.
