soz for bad eng... :/
I recently upgraded my laptop from windows xp to windows 7 and notice huge fps drops in games.

example: fifa 14
windows xp (55-60 fps)
windows 7 (50-60 fps but every few seconds drops to 15 and goes back to 50-60... very annoying)

my rig: i know its old but FIFA should work fine on low-mid settings
dual core 2.0 ghz
nvidia 9400mg
3gb ddr3 ram

i tried: disable aero and ui stuff, different video driver, i put FIFA on very low settigns and fps still drops, its very huge drop and its unplayable

if someone knows some tweak or something i will appreciate it

have you installed the Windows 7 drivers from your PC or motherboard manufacturer's website?
If no, then that's what you should do.

if manufacturer has no Windows 7 drivers for your model, it is not practical to run Windows 7 on it.
You should have checked driver availability before upgrading the OS. You can't rely on Windows having all the right drivers for every device in your system.

Pe Ro,

If you compare your system to the Windows 7 System Requirements, you’ll see that you have more than sufficient resources to run Windows 7. Without knowing how much memory your games are requiring, it’s hard to tell if you’re running out of memory or not when playing them. Take a look at your memory usage from Task Manager while you have a game open and see if your memory is maxing out at or near 100%.

You should also double check your drivers. As said already, it does sound like it could be a driver issue. It’s possible that you mistakenly chose the wrong one without realizing it. An incorrect driver won’t always show up as having an issue in Device Manager.

I hope this helps!
