So... dvi/vga adapter bundled with gtx 750 ti isn't compatible with graphics card port?

I can plug in the vga cable from my monitor into the adapter but it dosen't fit into the graphics card. I need to plug it into the graphics card to test the graphics on the monitor. If I wanted to I could test onboard graphics on i3 4130 but that would require removing a bunch of cables and the graphics card itself, which is something that I don't want to deal with.

So my question is? Where can I find a dual link dvi/vga adapter? or will I have to buy a cable? And if so, is dvi dual link compatible with my monitor?

This is my monitor: http://www.staples.com/Dell-E2414H-24-inch-Full-HD-Widescreen-LED-LCD-Monitor/product_IM1RW9429

Kind of weird that the adapter included with the gfx card dosen't even fit, isn't it? The holes and pins simply don't line up...

Solution
Sounds like you got something totally wrong. There si nothing like a dual link vga adapter. vga is always single link. Why don't you use the DVI-D port of your monitor?

This is the graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CPrFyda2770CFcdaMgodFw4AiA&Item=N82E16814487025&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Desktop+Graphics+Cards-_-N82E16814487025&ef_id=Ut8UXwAABVZ4tTX8:20140420155552:s

On the site it just says my monitor is dvi...?

I'll try to diagram the port on the graphics card

o I o oooooooo
- - oooooooo
o I o oooooooo

Actually it looks as if the adapter is dvi-a. So how would I plug my graphics card in? What would I need, basically?

It has 2x2 pins on the left, so that rules out dvi-d

The graphics card has one DVI-I port wit the digital dvi-d signal and the analog vga signal. Plug the adapter in to this port to get the analog vga signal. The adapter fits for sure. On the other hand, you monitor has on dvi-d input. use that instead wit a div-to-dvi cable and you will get the better picture quality.
