So I realize none of this probably qualifies to beat the Xbox One but.... I'd hope there were some way to nudge it above what the Xbox One can do with a few upgrades.

CPU: A-10 6700 8670D Quad-Core 3.7ghz
GPU: EVGA GTX 750ti Sc 2GB
Motherboad: F2A55-M/CSM
Ram: 8gb 1600mhz (single dimm)
PSU: 350watt

I'm open to all suggestions but I want to keep my CPU an GPU if possible.

Solution
Kaveri procs are too expensive for what they offer. They do however come with the nifty xfire with amd card feature, but instead of a kaveri i'd get an i5 and call it a day-along with a nice gpu aswell.

It will get the same frame rate in COD,BF4 and other first person shooters. And even better in sandbox games like AC4 and Grand Theft Auto. Overall the PC is a smarter choice! I also have the same CPU as you so i am well experienced. Another tip is you should switch it out for a X4 750k/X4 760k because you dont need an APU since you are going to be running a separate video card, which will save you some money. You should then upgrade your PSU with the saved money towards a Corsair CX430W. It is essential that you have a good psu with some extra power so your system doesn't "EXPLODE :D". Corsair makes some sweet capacitors and i will ensure you that you will be much safer with this PSU. I can tell that you are new to PC's but im glad you choose the PC over something like an Xbox One (PSssssssh). Please rate my comment up if this was helpful.

Well I do have the 'Nvidia Experience' Program that came with my GPU. It says that it optimizes games for my system. I don't know if that compares to how well devs optimize for a certain console when making the game though. Anyways I was just curious I don't care too much about keeping this APU an building upon it. That was just a money saving idea. I'd rather take my GPU out of the system an use it alongside a new build with a AM3+ CPU and motherboard until I can get a higher-end GPU an than keep the other computer for internet use an such or for my daughter.

What nvidia experience will do is suggest quality settings in games based on your rig.
Using the apu for browsing and such is a sound plan. (Half of it is thrown away if you use the card-specially since amd's apu graphics are quite decent, at least compared to intel's integrated solution)

Yeah but the APU I have is the Richland architecture. Now they have the Kaveri an it's IGPU is so much better than the one I have. I couldn't even play skyrim on lowest settings without it being choppy as crap. That's why I went out an got the GPU that I did. I haven't tested BF4 on it yet but everyone tells me I should get solid fps with medium settings. So I don't know if I should even consider building another computer just yet. I'd like to though cause this computer stuff has really gotten my attention an is really interesting.

Dude belive me APU's are bad get a X4 760k

I'll say again. Even if your pc is more powerful than consoles, console games will always work well on the consoles they are launched on, simply because they are all the same.
PC's have a miriad of configurations, and game designers don't (and can't) optimize for all of them.
This means, you will generally need a better pc(than the console) to run games ported from consoles- at the same fps.
However, ported games generally have better graphic options on pc's than on consoles- so there's that.
