The CPU will be more than fine for the 770, it will even run 770 SLI without any problems =) (maybe useful for future upgrades). For the HDD, Seagate is fine. A lot of people use it, but my vote goes to Western Digital Caviar Blue. There is also the Hitachi Ultrastar. These 3 are both well known and perform pretty much equal. Just pick the one you feel more comfortable going with!

PS: The 212 EVO is an excellent choice, and yes it will fit!

Everything will fit into the Phenom. That case was also my personal choice at first (really liked the design), but I found out that the Carbide 500r from Corsair has way better airflow / more solid structure compared to the phenom (some phenom cases do also look a bit shiny/plastic).

The phenom isn't a bad case. but it is more optimized for water cooling.

I like the phantom so much better in terms of looks and if it will cool my unit just fine I would love to have the phantom.

Then go for the Phantom ;D. As I mentioned, it isn't bad, but the airflow could be better. If you prefer looks over airflow that is a personal preference. I have also doubted between looks/airflow for some time :$.
