Hey thanks for reading I got an offer for 140-150 for a Sapphire 11217-01-25G r9 270x
I currently have a 6950 xfx 1gb with one fan and was wondering if it is a nice little upgrade to a better card. I know its not a whole lot faster but it is a bit and its double the memory quite a bit cooler and more energy efficient. Plus I can probably sell my card for what 80-90$ or so?

Thanks for any advice.

If you play at 1080p, the extra gb mf vram will be useful, if not, i'd not upgrade just yet.

Get the msu afterburner and check how your ram is doing during gameplay. If it gets to 100 percent usage, an upgrade will only help.

It will be nice upgrade, as you can see here on the benchmarks

Replaced the R9 270X with the 7870, it is almost the same card, but the R9 270X performs as an overclocked 7870, which will give even better performance than stock 7870

As you can see here:

The R9 270X is even much better than the 6970
