Hi,
I'm looking into buying the AMD FX-8320, and was wondering what would be a good compatible motherboard for it. I would like to spend under $80 CAD for it.
Also, could it be a microATX board?
Thanks

More about : good motherboard 8320

Are you serious 80 bucks for a motherboard!? :o  thats terrible.. It will limet you a lot of ways..
1: On cheap motherboards you wont be able to OC in any ways because they dont use more than (MAX) 2+4 cpu power phases (you might not even be able to find that)

2: It's chipset wont be recomended for that cpu.
And trust me there is a lot more.. And always remember you get what you pay for!

You don't need a 990FX. It is preferable, but a good motherboard is a good motherboard. The Asus M5A97 R2.0 is certainly a good one. It runs pretty cool and fully supports the 8320. Even its predecessor supports it (that's what I have now, same thing minus the R2.0), and can overclock it pretty decently.
The Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P is another nice one for around $80. I'd get you a Canadian link, but I'm not sure what retailers you have.
