Would this be a good pc build?

I've been planning on building a pc based on the parts I brought together based on a build I saw on a different thread. My main goal is to get the maximum fps and processing power that I can while not paying waay too much money for it. My budget was $1000 for the pc, but then I added the monitor O/S and keyboard which made it an extra $300. I also wanted to know if this is an adequate power supply for the graphics card and cpu. Oh and i'm not entirely sure that I will have enough room in the case of the pc for the cpu cooler that I added because according to the website there it says the height clearance could not be verified... please help

this should perform a little better, and 550 watt is enough for this build, but if you plan on adding a second card later look for something around ~700 watt.

Danbuscus, I seem to like your choices better but I have a few questions regarding the ram, and the cpu. For the ram, is it absolutely necessary to get 16gigs or will i be fine with 8 gigs if i plan to play mostly newer games on it, (i.e. Metro, dayz, bf3/4, far cry, tomb raider).

Also the motherboard says the max memory input is 1600 and the sniper gaming series 16gb ram is 1866, is that a problem?

And about the cpu, for pcpartpicker I couldn't find a price for the i5-3570k, would it be better to go with suztera's suggestion to use the i5-4670k 3.4GHz Quad-core because it is actually available? I just put in $190 for the i5-3570k because that's what I saw i wouldn't mind paying the extra $20 or so for the i5-4670k if it is a little better.
Thanks

Alright, I upgraded to the i5-4670k cpu but now the motherboard is not compatible? I also changed the ram from 2x8 to 2x4gb. Would you have a suggestion of another motherboard that would be suitable for this build with the new cpu?

This is what I have now
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3vht5

The motherboard is for IvyBridge and Sandy Bridge cpu.
Z87 is for Haswell cpu and the Haswell refresh
I suggest this motherboard:

Thanks for both of your help! The build ended up better than it was originally and it's now around $50 cheaper. :) Sorry to bother you still, but I just have one more question, if I were to overclock either cpu or graphics card would I need a better cooler, and is my cooler good enough as it is to keep my computer cool without overclocking? I feel like it might get hot using the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler. I see other people with 700+ power supplies with generally the same parts in my pc build. Also, would I seriously consider a power upgrade regardless if I wanted a second graphics card? Or should I just leave it alone...

The cooler Master Hyper 212 is fine for light overclocking. You can get a better cpu cooler but it won't help as the motherboard also determines how far you can overclock. But generally that cooler is fine for most people.
550W-650W is fine for single gpu setups even with overclocking. 750W minimum for SLI or crossfire (adding a second gpu). Most people say they need to buy a larger power for SLI/ crossfire but they never do it in the end.

Should i be putting money into a SSD for the computer or stick with my HDD

SSD is optional and shouldn't be a main issue. If you budget allows it then go ahead. It is probably better for you to stick with a HDD unless you can afford both a SSD and a HDD together.
