Hey guys, I was finishing up a little bit on my new build that I am planning out right now, and I noticed that the MSI card I had in it already was more expensive and the clock speed was slower than a card made by Gigabyte. Both of them have 4gb of VRAM, and both have the Radeon R9 270X, but the MSI card runs at 1.03GHz and costs $253.66 USD but the Gigabyte card runs at 1.05GHz and only costs $239.99 USD. The MSI card can OC up to 1.12, while the GB card can go up to 1.1. Do you think it is worth it for that tiny bit of extra speed? Also, how dose cooling compare? Which one do you think I should get? Thanks for any help and advice!

I will be using this system for gaming, 3D Animation, and other general stuff.

well, for 3d animation, usually nvidia cards are a little better cuz of cuda. i would look at a 760, or if you can afford it 770.

CUDA does not do 3d animation any better. OpenCL > CUDA and faster too. Just not many applications uses OpenCL because Nvidia wants to own the market on their so called CUDA.
