OK so as said in the title, i think I'm experiencing low fps in dirt 3 with my 770, when i run the in-game benchmark test on dirt with all settings max and x8msaa, i seem to be getting around 65-75 fps average based off a few tests. the problem is that on my old Amd HD7850 2gb that i had before my 770, i got 80-90 fps averages, on the same settings. Not sure if the Nvidia panel is doing something since I'm new to it , or if its something else entirely.
Any help is appreciated. My rig is below

CPU:Fx4100@4.5
Cooler:H100i
GPU: Gainward phantom GTX 770
Mobo: 990fx sabertooth r2.0
Ram: 8gb corsair 1600mhz
PSU: Silverstone SST-ST60F-ES 600w
ssd/hdd: samsung 840 128gb ssd
Oh and my resolution is 1440x900

*update, did a benchmark whilst not connected to GFWL and was getting averages of 96-98. more evidence to why GFWL sucks

Are you sure that you downloaded updated drivers? The drivers that come with the GPU are usually outdated and problematic.
Other than that, I usually use the Catzilla benchmark to determine whether or not a GPU is working correctly. You can directly compare your results to hundreds of others. The free version lets you run the test at 720p.

If the GPU is running as it should relative to others with a similar setup, the problem may be in drivers.

I would test your card with other games 65 to 75 fps for dirt 3 is more than enough unless you have a monitor that supports 120 hz

oh i know that its more then enough its just bugging me, because from what I've heard and seen it should be much higher, i can play AC4 with every thing max, TXAA x4 with god rays on perfect. but like i said dirts fps count is bugging me I'm sure it shouldn't be that low, considering my old card did better

I wouldn't worry about it! There could be many reasons however why investigate when the game is old and you still get the maximum experience with the game.

How many fps do you get with AC4 with everything maxed out @ 1080p? "Did you enable PysX?"

It's possible that if you upgraded to a Intel system with a i5 or i7 you would get higher fps.

No PhysX, and i don't have a 1080p monitor, it broke so i'm currently playing in 1440x900 around 40-50fps dips to 35ish when there are lots of enemys. and nope i don't plan on "changing" to intel i'm getting a one of the FX83** series processors some time this month so yeh XD...

but yeh the Dirt problem i'm pretty sure its GFWL that causing it because i never used to sign in, and when i don't my fps increases significantly

there's no point in having a nvidia card and playing without physx I would recommend turning on physx but you'll experience a huge fps drop :/

The fx 8350 should improve your gaming experience however The Intel chip would be better in my opinion however it's a hassle to change motherboards and you already have one the best AMD motherboards...

I've always had to sign in to Windows live in order to save my games and now they are phasing it out or already discontinued it out. I'm not sure because I haven't played the game for 5 months

Your AC4 performance not bad considering you maxed out all the settings.

The PhyX is the icing on the cake and perhaps the OP can lower some other settings and enable it however it's not necessary.

The game is great without PhysX and the OP doesn't have enough horse power to enable it unless he lowers other settings or buys another card.

Frame drops ruin the gaming experience however Ubisoft is creating patches and Nvidia are making better and the result is the games plays much better today than upon its release.

I have a 780 ti and I play the game with PsyX on low, God Rays on low with 2x Msaa @ 1440p.

I can set everything to max however I will not be satisfied with the FPS.
