GPU Needed to pre-test AMD Board+CPU?

Planning on picking up an AMD FX-8320 and an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0. Thing is that I won't be able to afford a GPU until my next pay period.

My question is, can I perform a pre-test to make sure all my parts work without a GPU. If not I'll just wait and order all three parts at once.

yes ofcourse you can test it without a gpu.

you can't test anything with no display all you will hear is a beep code stating that you don't have any GPU's inserted into your motherboard to do the display...you will need to wait for the graphics card, sorry
