How can i make my connection to Minecraft servers better? when i try to go on a minecraft server, it lets me on but the ping/connection the server is just terrible! like one minute i can connect to the server just fine, the next its just terrible! is it because of my mbps? i think it is, it drops ALL the time! the maximum for me is 54 mbps. but sometimes it drops down to like 18! please help me!

No I can play on 6 Mb/s but it shouldn't drop like that. Are you playing WiFi or wired? What is your router as well.

This very much sounds like a WiFi connection. 802.11g to be exact.

Ya now that I think about it USAFRnet is right that is a 802.11g. I am willing to bet either your router or the card in your computer are to blame for this. It is probably time to upgrade to a decent 802.11n router/card setup.
