When i boot the system , i see that the clock is the same as i shut down the computer ,tough computer is still connected to power and psu isn't off, i can see the motherboard leds.

This motherboard is like 3 months old. Asus ROG maximus VI Hero.

Any idea what could be the cause?

The motherboard led is normal - it is telling you it receiving power from the psu. The system time freezing sounds like a CMOS battery problem, try removing the CMOS battery for 30 mins (only hold it by the edges) and do a bios update for your board. Looks like the latest bios is from march 14th 2014 http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

I tought about the battery, but the motherboard is hardly 3 months. is it possible to drain the battery this quick? if it was battery problem , wouldnt all bios settings reset? Bios keeps the settings as i saved them.

I already have the latest bios.
