Windows not recognizing USB flash drives

My computer recently stopped recognizing USB sticks. Everytime I plug in a flash drive i get a "USB Device Not Recognized" error, other devices like my mouse and keyboard (also USB) work fine though.

I already tried all my ports and installing chipset drivers. I've got a MSI 990FXA-GD65 motherboard with an AMD Chipset. I tried installing the chipset drivers with MSI's LiveUpdate, it downloaded Catalyst Control Center. I installed that, but LiveUpdate still shows that my chipset drivers are not installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your reply.

Well, I often install new software, but I can't think of anything I installed that could have something to do with this problem.

Yes, and it's not only one USB drive. My computer doesn't recognize any USB drives. And all of them work on my laptop, so I think the problem is on my PC.

By "cleared inside", do you mean clean it from dust?

I tried to do that, but i don't have any restore points before the problem showed up. I guess I'm going to have to reinstall windows then, but thaks for your reply.

*EDIT*
I just formatted C: and reinstalled windows, still no luck with USB flash drives, still the same error. But I also tried booting from an Ubuntu Live Disk and I could access my USB sticks from there, so I don't think it is a hardware related issue.
But how can there be a problem with drivers on a clean windows install?

I cleaned it, but unfortunately that was not the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though.

BIOS is up to date, but I'm a little confused about the chipset drivers. MSI Live Update 5 always says they're not installed, no matter what I do. When I update them with Live Update, it downlads AMD Catalyst Control Center, when I update them with the CD, it works, but Live Update still shows "Not installed".

The setup.exe installs Catalyst Control Center and some other stuff, but no chipset drivers apparently...

And no matter what I do, I always get this when I open Live Update 6:
