I've been trying to format my pc, like all the way from scratch, deleting windows and so on. But! When ever I insert the Windows 7 disk into my DVD Drive it just boots up as if it wasn't there. Wich does not allow me to do the usual formata that I've done on my old computer. This is a new computer, with a GTX 760 and an i5-3570K CPU. So since I've got a virus it is slowing my computer, wich bothers me, I would like maximum power from all of its components.

it sounds like you do not have your dvd drive set as the primary boot device (first in the list of boot devices).

to boot from cd you need this to be your primary device. (ie ahead of the hdd in the list).

this is changed in the bios (look up how to enter bios for your particular motherboard)

Think it's because your HDD boots before your DVD.
Read the manual of your motherboard. You can get into a boot menu before your HDD starts to boot. Usually with one of the F keys. If not.... Go into your BIOS and set your DVD as being a boot device before your HDD.
