What is the make and model of the PSU? Power supply? Many low quality ones have a little switch where you can select input voltage others take from 90-240volts automatically.

A good power supply will work from 100 to 250V input. If yours doesn't, buy a new PSU.

If your PSU (Power supply unit) doesn't have a switch on it to go from 220/230 volt to 110/120 volt you need to buy a new 120 volt PSU

Incorrect!

Ideally the PSU should NOT have that switch, that switch is only for old PSUs with passive PFC, any good PSU from at least 2008+ will have active PFC which comes with the benefit of universal input voltage so they can accept any voltage, any frequency so they will work in Japan, Germany, or north america.
