the K is on sale for $209.99 which makes it cheaper than the non-k. I am going to use a ASRock B85 Pro4 ATX Mobo. Is there any reason NOT to get the K? I will not be overclocking and would also like to not get an aftermarket fan
Well, if the K is cheaper, you should just get it. I know you don't intend to overclock, but since the two cpu's are the same at baseline, its just a matter of cost.
Get the K version. It's the better version of the chip and it's cheaper too. Also you might actually want to overclock it someday. There is a whole lot of extra performance to take advantage of if you ever need it.
I see the non-K is $10 more at Pricepicker too which is very odd since as mentioned they are IDENTICAL aside from the ability to overclock the "K" version which you don't have to do.
