Advice on Gaming Computer Build

I've been thinking of building a new gaming PC, as my old one (Pre-built) isn't quite cutting it any more. I've been looking through different build guides over the past week, and found some components which I believe will work. This is my first attempt at building a computer, so I'm aware that it is probably not perfect, and even then I didn't put too much research into this, wanting to see how I stand so far before I continue. That being said, I have a few questions:

1.) Is it feasible to reuse the Hard Drive from my old computer (specifications listed in the build below) and use it with my new build? What about the Optical Drive?

2.)Is it feasible to reuse the RAM from my old computer (Specifications listed in the build below) and use it with my new build?

3.) Will it all fit into that particular case? I believe the Motherboard should fit but I am wondering if there will be any other space constraints that might make me want to buy a different case.

4.) I believe all of this should be compatible with the motherboard and with each other, but if I have made any mistakes, please do tell.

5.) Is this suitable in terms of cooling and power?

6.) Would this build be better served by any particular part? Any advice on how to improve it would be much appreciated.

So here's what I was thinking:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H (LGA 1150 Socket) ($130)
CPU: i5-4670k Haswell 3.40GHz (LGA 1150 Socket) ($210)
RAM 2x 4GB DDR3 PC3 10600 (I believe that's 1333MHz) Free, from old PC
Hard Drive: 1TB 7200rpm SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec), Free, from old PC
Case: Corsair 400R ($80)
Optical Drive: Whatever my old computer has, not sure if there are any compatibility issues
Cooling: 212 EVO ($35)
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 770 2GB ($320)
PSU: Rosewill HIVE 750W (Modular) ($90)

I already have a suitable monitor, mouse, and keyboard, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Looks pretty good, are you going to get a CPU cooler and do you plan on OC'ing? Also you may want to consider something like a R9 280X for the GPU, as I believe the extra VRAM will be of use. The RAM from your older computer would likely work but is a tad slow. I doubt you will have an issue reusing the old HDD and Optical drive

Get a better power supply. Not a big fan of rosewill personally. Your components are reasonably high end and i would go with maybe a 650w higher quality power supply if price is a factor. If not spend a little more for a 750w as many manufacturers sell identical series of power supplies with wattage increments corresponding to a 10-15$ increase. ie 650w corsair = 90$, 750w corsair 100$ (rough numbers just a simple comparison). Once you find a power supply you like that has the features like modular plugs, research them to find the diferences between each series. Some might seem the same on paper, but different models include things like higher efficiency power ratings and longer lasting/better performing fans built in.

Considering I don't really know the ins and outs of OC'ing, I doubt I will overclock, but learning how to do it in the future is not out of the question. Unless I can really benefit from it, I most likely will not overclock. Do you think I need a CPU cooler?

You can save a bit of money then by going for the 4670 (no k). Only difference is it can't be OCed. Not a huge dollar saving but at least it can go towards better RAM. If you want to keep the door open on OCing then grab the 4670K.

Intel heatsink you get with the CPU will work ok so you don't need buy a CPU cooler if you don't want. I would lean towards getting one though.

1) Yes, you can use your old hard drive and optical drive
2) I don't see why the RAM wouldn't be compatible
3) The Carbide 400R is a fantastic case for this build
4) Everything should be fine with the mobo
5) The cooling is fine whether you OC or not
6) The PSU could be better (already addressed in previous comments) & ram of 1600 mhz is the sort of the standard nowdays
