Before there was an intel celeron cpu on this motherboard but i deicded to upgrade the machine and add a pentium 4 2.6 ghz cpu in. I checked the model of the cpu and its supposed to be compatible with this mother board. I booted up the computer but noticing that the boot screen said 1.3 ghz, i read the mother board manuel and for higher cpu types u put the fsb jumper into test position. So i changed the jumper to test and im stuck at 1.7 ghz. Help would be much appreciated.

If this upgraded CPU is supported with that motherboard, then it will without s doubt work. If you haven't already, you'll need to flash your BIOS for your CPU to work, which i can't really say how as all manufacturers bios settings are different, but you need to load it on boot (pc doesn't have to be able to boot) then go to your CPU settings, flash it.

Hope this helps.

I found the problem, The core i installed is a fsb 800 mhz so it said in the manuel that if my cpu is 800 mhz that it will only support 1 ddr 3 stick. Sure enough (i have two 512s) i took one of them out and my cpu bumps to 2.6 ghz proccessor reading. But im stuck at 512 of ram. There is some pc 133 slots on the mother board so i took the ddr 3 out and i had two 512 of pc 133 ram sticks and for some reason the mother board wont boot with them, maybe it only means specifically ddr 3s will work if the cpu fsb is that high. Or maybe the Pc 133 slots have something wrong with them.

Yes at this point but once i add another to make it 1gb my cpu drops to 1.7 ghz. And the pc133 ram slots arent working because i have 2 512s of pc 133 that i used to test (with ddr3 taken in out) And I dont even get a beep from the computer when i stick them in. No bios message either.
