Upgrading iPhone4 8gb to 16gb

I am looking to upgrade my iphone4 8gb to a 16gb. How do I do this? I need more storage for pictures and apps and cannot delete anything because my kids use some things like minecraft. I still need to downtown the 7.1 iOS but don't have any storage to do so. Please help this mom!

Sorry, this isn't possible. The memory modules are fixed to the circuit board and are not user upgradable. In addition, Apple does not fit their devices with memory card slots, like many other smartphones are equipped with.
