Is it bad to use the computer 12 hours a day?

Leaving health issues aside, I was wondering if it's bad for a computer to be used 12 hours everyday? I recently built a new computer and I wanted to be extra careful with it. I will most likely be gaming half of the time and watching anime and movies during the other half. Will any problems arise from using it too much?

Of course, when the Fall semester starts, I will be taking much more classes than I am now so that will decrease the hours spent on the computer. However, that's still a few months away.

Solution
As long as it's not a laptop running on battery power, it's fine. Most of the wear and tear on desktops comes from heat stress (metal expanding and contracting as it heats and cools), so it's better to leave it on then turn it on and off all the time.

"Leaving health issues aside" was his first sentence.

I think it's fairly obvious that there are risks to that kind of lifestyle. I run on the treadmill at least 30 minutes to an hour everyday. Plus, I take short breaks by chilling around the house as well as attend classes. There's no problem, and if one does come, then oh well. I appreciate the advice anyways.

Thanks for the answers everyone!
