How to choose cooling (liquid vs heatsink)

Using the HAF 912 series case, how do you know which cooling is the best to choose - liquid cooling or a honker of a heatsink on top of the processor? Looking for use in a gaming system (mostly Blizzard family of games)

Will you plan on moving your computer when it's built. Water will put much less stress on your mobo if moved.

Just moving it from the table where I'd build to it's new spot on the floor, so only a matter of a few feet.

Air cooling is perfectly fine for high overclocks and will give your Maximus all it can handle in the way of CPU cooling. The Noctua NH-D14 is your choice here. Anything past this (water cooling) is all for the "cool factor", bragging rights, or small cases with restricted air flow. Yes, you could potentially OC higher with water cooling, but at a cost much more than the $75 Notcua. If you want a good water cooling kit look toward the Corsair H100i. Custom loops get pretty expensive and elaborate...

I'm fine with air cooling overall, just seems an easier fix than water cooling, imo. Just seems there is so much clamor for liquid cooling nowadays.
