hello, i was wondering if anybody could tell me what would be bottle necking in my system,

ASUS M5 A97 R2.0 MOBO
AMD phenom 965 II X4 @ 3.4 Ghz (stock cooler)
sapphire R9 270X 2GB
roswell 600W power supply
8GB Gskill memory

so i want to go th a crossfire (with another R9 270X card) and after that what would be bottle necking in the the PC? my guess is the CPU when the graphics card is maxed out it will run about 70 to 80 % activity, if the cpu will be holding me back what CPU would you recommend?

thanks any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
2xR9 270X will hold down the CPU, you will need at least FX 6300, and make sure that it will be overclocked to 4.5, so any bottlenecks will be eliminated.
Safest option will be the FX 8300 series, or Intel's i5
Also, everything depends on the game, how CPU intensive it is.

Your CPU. I had the same CPU and it still has potential if it's overclocked 3.8+ but you are on stock cooler so I'd advise getting a new cpu/mobo. How much are you looking to spend? You looking to overclock or stay at stock? Also, I'm not sure if 600 watts will handle r9 270x in crossfire...

Ok thanks for the info, id rather go with AMD mostly because of the fact that my mobo is has a AMD socket, and for the small price increase id prolly go with the FX 8320, or do you think it would be a better idea to get a 60 to 80 $ liquid CPU cooler and overclock this CPU and if so what would a single fan CPU cooler allow me to overclock to (my case the Cooler master cosmos SE dose allow for some decent liquid cooling) and the specifications stated a crossfire cold run on a minimum of 600W, however if i wore to overclock the CPU and or the GPU's would i need more than 600W? and im looking to spend around $400 including the graphics card.

thanks!

I would say get the FX 8320, stay with the same PSU, and instead of buying 2x R9 270X for $400, get single R9 290
