PC not turning on but motherboard LED is on

Hi Everyone.

I have a pc which won't turn on. motherboard LED is on but when i press the power button, nothing happens.

Until about a week ago, it was turning on after about 5minutes pressing the power button every minute or so, but now nothing happens.

Do you think this is a motherboard issue?

Yes thats true... not sure about make and model but it was not an expensive PSU. It's my girlfriend's pc and we bought a 500W PSU from Scan. By the way this is quite an old system which is only core 2 duo. Psu is not loaded for sure.

Again i know it might be a cheap psu issue, but since it was working fine when i changed psu, and nothing changed since then, i thought it might be another faulty part. Also since the pc was turning on after some attempts and now it simply fails.

I will try a different PSU first and see how it goes.
