Hello,

I've had my Gigabyte GTX 780 for about 2 months now.
After re configuring my cable management (which looks amazing i must say) the GPU seemed unresponsive.
While powering up the system, the screen stays black, there is no post, and the screen reads out with white text, "please power down and connect the pcie power cables for this graphics card".
They are obviously plugged in so i figured i'd RMA this item, and get a new one.

The manufacturer has informed me they could not replicate this with multiple different configurations.
I was able to connect a GTX 650 to my current system, and it worked perfectly.

Here are my system specs...
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Rev. 4.0
AMD FX-8320 @ 4.4 GHz w/ 1.4V
3 SSDs and 2 HDDs
Solid Gear ATX12V/EPS12V 850-Watts Power Supply

My initial thought is the power supply, but i wanted a second opinion, or someone has experienced this problem before, I'd love to hear about it.

--thanks as always!

If it worked for them when you tried to RMA, then it would really have to be the PSU.

That is a cheaper PSU, so I question the quality and longevity of it. I didn't even know you could get a 850W PSU for $60. I would recommend getting a quality PSU, but that's just personal preference.

Thanks for the reply. Another agreeing opinion is always helpful in reconciling my PC woes.
Staying withing the 850 Watt range so i will be SLI capable down the road, what do you recommend?
I have no brand loyalty when it comes to PSUs (as my cheapie mentioned above shows).

I was actually reading a few reviews on HardOCP today about PSU's. I originally went to read about my HX750.

Best brands are Seasonic (xfx uses seasonic), Corsair, Antec.

Here are a couple recommendations:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=78946&vpn=P1-750B-BEFX&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1320

You would be able to SLI with a 750w. If you wanted to go with a 850W, expect to pay $10-20 more. I have the HX750 and I have no complaints.

Awesome, this will help me out with where to start.
Thanks for your input, sir.
