Hi for pc gaming i use the main home computer. it is perfectly fast enough for normal use

I currently have windows vista and was wondering whether a move to windows 7 will increase the performance and fps of games.

my system:
athlon 7550 @ 2.5ghz (dual core)
ram 3gb
radeon 4670 1gb
500 watt psu

Preferably i would prefer not to change operating systems as everybody in my house is comfortable with vista.

But would there be frame rate increases in games if i were to move to windows 7?

Make no sense if you don't upgrade your system.

it not about the price, it just not worth upgrading the os without upgrading the hardware that you have.

It won't make any noticeable difference when playing games, but W7 will still "run better" than vista will.
