I got this HP 2000 brand new from Wal-mart about 8 months ago. It's probably not the most high-ended thing in the world but it does the job.

Anyway, I was updating my Java from 1.6 to 7.45 mostly because I have been putting it off for so long - and for this exact reason. Everything was working fine, of course. Pop-up screen appeared, asked if I wished to install toolbar, hit no and install.

The installation started but it never got passed one percent when my screen froze. I hit CTRL + Alt + Del thinking I could at least get gontrol of my PC. Well, instead, my PC shut down. After doing a reboot, it started a auto repair, like win8 usually does, but it doesn't get passed the "Preparing Automatic Repair" before it goes black. I tried to F8 and bring it to manual reboot to load last known good configuration but that won't work. Also tried F12. Thought maybe that it was different. That didn't work.

That said, what would be my next step? I don't want to take it in, don't particularly have the money...also don't have disk for reboot of OS so I may just have to get a new one if this problem can't be solved..
