Hello all! Please help me fix this issue that I can't seem to fix myself. My PC has been crashing recently, and it's due to "ntoskrnl.exe". How can I eliminate this problem? Is it with my RAM? Or HDD? Please answers as simple as possible because I am relatively new to all of this (I built my first PC for Christmas).
Thanks for your time, Gray17.

Hi

BSOD usually have a number
If the PC reboots immediately too quickly to read & copy it
Yo need to change this to stop on error
( change setting via system)

If you have done any over clocking undo it back to defaults

Most recent windows dvd's have a memory test program in them
If no windows DVD then download memtest86. (Get cd version)
And imgburn to put ISO onto cd or DVD

(Version 257 not 258 because of adware included with installer of v258)
Make a CD or DVD and test ram
If this passes test hard disk

Using disk manufacturers diagnostics
If this also passes then try a windows re install using motherboard manufacturers recommended drivers for chipset, sound etc and latest graphics chipset drivers

Get latest version from the web site if motherboard driver disk is more than a year old

The "ntoskrnl.exe" error could be caused by a bad keyboard, missing or corrupt boot.ini file, a bad OS install, or a bad hard drive.

Here's a link to the Microsoft Support Site on the issue; Windows Support - ntoskrnl.exe
And, here's a link to anbother help site that addresses the issue; NTOSKRNL.EXE is missing or corrupt

Agreed! This would be the quickest solution and definitely fix the problem. Had this same issue once using WinXP, did a re-install and problem solved.
