So after installing a new CPU and mobo into my rig my Megladons just don't work in any of the USB port (I've tried 2.0 and 3.0 and the drivers for both headset and mobo are as updated as they can be) The Megladons work in another PC but not mine all I get is USB device not recognised message from windows.

I get power the headphones as in it lights up and I can hear the speakers turn on when wearing them.

Any ideas on what could be wrong will be very helpfull.

Ain't the firmware. Problem is that there's no driver, the only thing I believe could make it work properly with your system. Well, razer is good with mice and keyboards. Their sound gear are ALL terrible. Get yourself some serious brand pair of cans and you'll see great sound improvement. Don't forget the sound card, especially if cans have higher impedance.

Had the same problem months ago when I built another rig. After browsing a bit for the solution, what I learned is that it won't work with some specific motherboards. For that reason, I bought an asus essence stx (sound card) to use with my sennheiser hd 598, and a logitech webcam to use its mic. I don't think there's much to be done. Although these 3 items are way better than the megalodon, they're much more expensive too.

Thanks for such a quick reply Penguin, if it helps the motherboard is MSI Z87-G55 and the new CPU I got was I7 4770k (Haswell) if this is the case then that sucks and the I've got no luck as Razer seem to be terrible when it comes to keeping software updated and the fact that some of their links for the firmware for the Megladon take you to a 404 on their own page =(
