i recently bought a new graphics card to replace my old one, the new card is a nvidia geforce GTX 650ti and the old card is a nvidia geforce 9600 gt the card is brand new and has never been used. i read a few sites on how to install a new graphics card to make sure i installed it correctly and they all said that some cards require you to uninstall the old drivers and disable the old graphics card which i done, i also installed the drivers for the new graphics card using a disk. After turning off my computer and unplugging it i removed my GPU from the motherboard and replaced it with my new one. i plugged in the 4 pin plug, made sure it was seated correctly and then plugged in my computer and turned it on, i also used the same cable which is a VGA cable with a DVI converter on one end (only plug that the old GPU had), i am using my tv as a monitor at the moment so it was still plugged into there. the computer started up and the fans on the new GPU were running fine but there was no output to the tv, it just displayed no signal. so i tried different cables such as a HDMI and a plain VGA but none of then seemed to work. i removed the new GPU and put the old one back in and it worked as normal, so i tried once again to use the new GPU but it still didnt work, im pretty sure my power supply is sufficient and i have checked the socket that it fits in and all the connections, as i said the old one still works fine i even tried my monitor that i used to use and there was still no signal, i cant think of anything else that could be a problem. also the computer was a custom build and was not a off the shelf PC it is also pretty old (6 years) any advice?
thanks hayden

ive read other answers that have said that you need to disable the integrated graphics to get the card to work, but one my Motherboard doesn't seem to have any and two when i change from the new card to the old one it works straight away without changing anything so i still have no idea. a power cable came with the card which has two female sockets on the opposite end of the 6-pin plug but using this done nothing either, i also tried unplugging the disk drive which also make no difference.
thanks

the graphic card you bought is a cheap chines fake card which claims 384bit and ddr3 ram but its very very slow and bad quality graphic card than original gtx650. one more thing it doesn't support HDCP as well. try any other good original graphic card of gt series they are better than this chines gtx650.
