I have an Intel i5-4440 processor @ 3.1ghz, I was looking at some games under load and noticed the CPU was only at 2ghz/1.7ghz even sometimes in CSGO etc. With EIST disabled in the bios the game ran at the normal voltage and core speed. I recieved something like a 6-8fps boost on ultra in some games even. I still have C states enabled, the EIST just downs the voltage and frequency under different loads.
Is it safe to keep this disabled? Would it effect the life of the processor? I just don't want to create any problems as this is a new processor.
Temps are 31-33c idle and about 49c in csgo and 57-58c in more intensive games such as BF4/PS2 with EIST disabled. About 1-2c less when it is enabled.
