Coolermaster 212 EVO, how does it work?

After deciding on this CPU cooler, for it's price and performance and hear good reviews, I just wanted to know how it works, I know that the heat pipes draw the heat from the CPU and from there it goes up, through the steps and out to the fan, but does the fan exhaust the hot air, and how should I orientate mine when I get it?

Usually, it is placed beside the RAM, pushing air through the aluminium piece.

If your RAM's height interferes with the fan, then you can place it on the other side, pulling air from the aluminium piece (this is what I did).

In both cases, note that the air goes to the back of the case.
That's the most common setup. But ultimately, it's up to you and your equipment.

Yeah, that could be a problem for me with my memory's heat spreader, but I could switch to a low profile memory as well. Thanks for your input!
