Check your MB manual or go to here http://www.alienware.com/ to find out the laptop/MB has the SATAII or SATAIII, because some of laptop have the SATAII port only, and from top speed 265Mb/s, likely the SSD is in the SATAII ports.

The SSD came shipped with the laptop from Alienware.

It is a 256GB and it is a V4-CT256V4SSD2
