hi everyone, i am thinking of buying a new graphics card i have narrosed down to gtx 760 and gtx 770. i dont have an idea of sli and i wont game more than 1080p. i want the card to be future proof for atleast five years and hence going for 4gb models. having said that would it be better to go for gtx 770 or gtx 760 for better performance. is there any amd cards in the same price range and better performance with more than 4 gb vram. i am ready to go upto $400
specs
mobo:intel DH67VR
processor: intel i5 2400(3.1GHz)
ram: 2X4(1.333 GHz each)

2gb vs 4gb will not have any performance differences on 1080p. 4gb will show improvements if you are using multiple monitors while gaming. You'll have to define your expectations of future proof because neither of those cards are future proof for 5 years in my eyes. That being said, the 770 is a better performer than the 760 so that would be your best bet.

Just don't look at 4gb versions if you're playing at 1080p.

Only reason you would want to go with a 4gb model is if you plan to SLI at some point... By the time you need more than 2gb at 1080p, a single one of those cards won't be powerful enough to give you good enough frame rates anyway no matter how much vram...

i dont know the card but ultra settings and around 90Fps(with SLI though)

So what are you trying to say? Isn't that exactly what i said? "Only reason you would want to go with a 4gb model is if you plan to SLI at some point". The single card will not give you high enough FPS with the settings on that will require more than 2gb of vram anyway... My vote is for a gtx 770 2gb unless of course you plan to SLI.

no he said it used 3.7 gigs per gpu

No you arn't you are throwing money away... getting more vram does not future proof UNLESS you are going to SLI at some point down the road. A card with more vram does not make it a more powerful card if with those settings on (that push the vram usage over 2gb) it can't produce high enough FPS any way.
