Hello everyone myself Sahil from India. I am due to buy new graphic card this week. Right now I am damn confused between this two cards. I am mostly going to use this cards for 2 years on full hd screen probably. I want to maxed out upcoming Games for 2 years min. Is the Sapphire r9 290 tri X is sensible and worthy choice over toxic? There is a huge $150 difference between this two. Is it really a worth it? Is there any software difference between this two? I am so damn confused right now. I will Happily buy sapphire r9 290 tri X if it's worth the money. Please give your views. Thank you

well, if you are using multiple monitors, or playing at very high resolutions, such as 1600p, or planning of crossfireing in the future, get the 290. if only 1 monitor at under 1600p and dont plan on crossfire, then the 280X is bigger bang for your buck.

I'm in the same boat, although my current monitor support only 1680*1050 resolution, I'm more inclined towards 290 Tri-X (Or Vapor-X if it launch soon in India) just because of more Vram n 512 bit bus ... It appears more futureproof (I know nothing is futureproof in electronics market but 290 will best you 6-12 months over the 280X for the upcoming games) plus if you happen to go for the 2k / 4k monitor 290 will be better equipped ...
