Card works fine with DVI monitor. Connect an HDTV to HDMI port. When HDTV is turned on, monitor flickers and recognizes new display. Shows up in screen/display options for orientation, resosultion and identification. HDTV is detected correctly. No video or audio on screen. Not as extended display, duplicate or otherwise. Tried HDTV and same HDMI cable with laptop and works as it should. Exactly how I've always done it. Went back to PC w/ XFX R9 270x and no video/audio at HDTV. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Make sure you have the resolution set to whatever the TV's native res is. Might also be worth switching it to 30Hz to see if that would have an effect. Those are really the only 2 options that I can think of that would affect the output. You could maybe try some of the digital panel options in CCC.

Ive had this before. Ive tried shutting down from HDTV and pc. Still no use, until I bought a Display port to HDMI port and then it works. Lastly set resolution from the catalyst control center.

Guess what guys? Apparently, detection of external monitor through HDMI happens at tip of port. The actual signal is deeper in the port itself. If you only plug in halfway, you will get recognition but no signal to and from. My card is a bit recessed in my aging case so the HDMI cable (which is probably bulky) was plugged in just a hair short. I fixed this problem by just forcing it in further. Thanks for your help guys. Really appreciate the responses.
