look i need to upgrade my noob GPU hd 6570 to mainstream class...i need a guide or a solution between gtx 660 or hd 7870..i hear gtx 660 is better at TXAA and fast core clock but the hd 7870 have a higher memory bandwith than gtx 660..so,is that memory bandwith take a big effect while im playing game?what is the main function of memory bandwith?and the last one which is the best combination for my pc CPU core i3 2100?Thanks if you would to share your solution for me :)

go for the 7870. if you can spend a little bit more, you can get the HD7950 that will be a real bang for the buck..

to your questions,

all I know is that the memory bandwidth will give some headroom if you are playing graphics intensive games and it will be basically futureproof..

the bandwidth is like the 32bit cpu vs 64bit cpu thing.. except that, it states how much visual data can the card process..

somebody can correct me if I'm wrong..

if you compare the output.. the HD7950 is a great hardware for the price but loses on the software/driver side.. however for the nvidia, they got lower hardware spec but delivers on par with the radeon GPUs due to their amazingly stable drivers..

finally, for i3, either would do.. suggest you to upgrade the cpu soon or it might be a bottleneck in the near future.

hmmm i thought my i3 processor can handle the hd 7870 but you say it will be bottleneck...should i get soon the fx 6300 or i7 2700k for the best combination with hd 7870?cuz im in low budget now :(

They are neck to neck in therms of performance, choose which one is cheaper. Although the 7870 does much better in BF3 and BF4

Benchmarks: 7870 vs GTX 660

yeah thanks for your oppinion, but i see the hd 7870 have a far difference at the crysis 3,is that because the hd 7870 not too good for FXAA or something else?cuz ASAP i will be change my CPU and my GPU :)

Keep your CPU for now and just upgrade your graphics card. If you plan on recording gameplay, get the 660, no question. Nvidia Shadowplay is what you will want for that.

I personally recommend the 660. The memory bandwidth only comes into play with really high AA settings. I have yet to hit the limit on my 660's memory bandwidth and I play all of my games on max settings with the AA cranked up all the way.

I think you will be happy with either card though.

really?i dont need to upgrade my cpu?but my cpu just dual core 3.1Ghz with hyperthreading, althought many games right now need a quad core cpu but my cpu still can handle this?

You will be ok with it for now if you need to take it easy on your wallet for a bit. The intel i3's are pretty strong for a dual core and can still run games fine. It will bottle neck a 660, but it will still play games just fine until you can afford to upgrade to an i5.

I merely said that it will be a bottleneck soon.. now its a very little bottleneck.. or rather they are almost cool with each other.. no need to worry for now..
