Computer seems to be getting worse as the days go by with videos. Whether it be streaming online or watching off my computer with vlc. Video seems choppy or glitchy and audio will go out of sync with the video. Everything used to be fine. Only difference is switching internet provider but I don't see how that would effect vlc movies.

Solution
Well theres quite a few things that might cause this.

The first I'd like to explore is reinstalling your GPU drivers. If you don't know how to do this heres how. Start > control panel > programs and features > then in the list find "Intel GMA something something" then remove that one and follow the on screen prompts. Its likely it will require you to restart.

Might want to download this before you uninstall, but only install it after you have removed the old drivers. I think these are the proper drivers, if not it won't let you install it so no harm done...
What are your specs?

Also what are you streaming with? IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc

Do you have any pending windows updates? Notice anything else strange that might indicate malware/virus (random popups, mouse movements, random typing, taking a long time to boot, etc)

Its a Dell studio hybrid 140g running windows vista home premium. (Service pack 2)
Intel core2 duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00ghz
4gb ram
32-bit.
Doesn't seem to matter what it streams from but I prefer to use Firefox as it has an add-on to allow me to access american netflix at the click of a button and add blockers. Updates are all good. Pretty tedious for that as well as live avg protection with weekly scans. I've noticed the odd time that it will take longer than usual to boot up. Cant say I've done anything different with it other than trying to update microsoft directx which is currently version 11. Everything used to be not this bad. Seems to be getting worse. Started with netflix now vlc is doing it.

Sorry about the delay I have been quite busy lately.

Edit: My link ins't working. Just hit the "auto scan system" thing. That should get you to where you need to be.
