I'm planning on upgrading my cpu(hopefully don't have to reinstall windows), and I was wondering if this i7-4960X cpu is compatible with my motherboard.

This is the motherboard:

And this is the cpu:

I've looked at the specifications, but wanted to make sure. Thanks!

True. Also, what will this build be used for? If it's for gaming anything above the i7 4770k is a waste of money.

No it won't work, your board has an LGA 1366 socket which is only compatible with the first generation Core i7's.

That CPU requires an LGA 2011 socket which is only on X79 boards.

Core i7 4960x is like $1000, anyways the P6T is not compatible with LGA 2011 CPUs.
However if u are planning on going to X79 I suggest u get a core i7 4930k and Asus Sabertooth X79
