Okay so I'm making this thread in a bit of a hurry but here is my main question. I built this comp and am currently using a hand-me-down vga 21-inch monitor that is a (4 or 5) few years old. However me videocard uses DVI as main so I have to use an adapter. At seemingly random intervals not only in games, it seems to hold onto a frame for under a second to a full or two seconds. (Usually only under a second) It seems to happen about once every 15 s or so, sometimes less sometimes more. I guess what I'm asking is what causes this? Is it the adapter or something else? I'm getting a new monitor and it should be shipped here Wednesday so I will find out then for sure but is this a problem that some people have had before?
