Hi Tom's,

With your help, I finally built my PC!

I didn't change anything in the BIOS other than date and time, what should I do here?

My CPU temps were 41-43C just in the BIOS, is this a concern? (I just used my 4770k's heatsink/fan).

There's currently no internet at my house. I installed a game but it didn't recognize my VRAM and didn't let me play. Is this because my drivers aren't updated or what?

I played solitaire after the computer had been on for 20~ minutes. After a while it got really laggy lol, what gives?

Solution
Nothing to worry about the temps, i personally keep my CPU temps below 50, the heatsink that comes with the CPU is good enough to keep the CPU cool, unless you're overclocking, then get an aftermarket one. No games can be played because no drivers are installed yet. So get some connection and install those drivers.

Well I haven't turned it on since I installed Windows, but while it was on it never lit up.

Is there a way to see if my GPU is working properly through the BIOS? Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what is GeForce experience?

Great, thanks. I actually have a Hyper 212 EVO but I didn't realize it was so huge and ugly. I took it out because it looked bad through my window and it blocked my first RAM slot.

I won't overclock it until I move to water cooling.

Try turning it on again, or check if there is something that is damaged on the the graphics card connectors, and the slot on the MOBO. Well, at least your screen in not blank, that means that the cables are not damaged, did you connect your monitor to the GPU or to the MOBO? I think there's is away to see if the GPU working properly or not from the BIOS but, sorry i don't know how. GeFroce Experience is basically the driver that NVIDIA GPUs need, in order to function at its best.

I'll turn it on again when I get home and see what happens. I don't think the GPU connectors were an issue but I'm not really sure what to look for.

I plugged the monitor into the DVI-D port on the GPU.

I don't know if this would be possible to do with out any drivers installed but, just try this to see if the GPU is detected, when it has finished booting up, try {[right click on the "Start" button -> Search -> dxdiag -> Display]} check if your GPU is present, if that didn't work try {[open "Windows Explorer" -> System Properties (on the top) -> Device Manager (top left) -> Display adapters]} check if your GPU is present, but I'm pretty sure that this is a driver problem. Try to get some internet connection on that PC, and install every driver, important or not just install them.

I'm guessing you're running Windows 8/8.1

Alright I'll try that when I can, but no I'm actually running windows 7. I used windows 8 once and I hated it. I also play older games (RTS) and I think windows 7 has better compatibility with them.

Haha sorry to hear that man, I was lucky enough to get a temporary laptop that had Windows 8 a while back and experience it's shittiness first hand. hopefully they'll fix everything with Windows 9 :p.

Thanks a lot for your time, you helped a lot mate!
