Im going to build for the first time, primarily with gaming in mind, and I was debating whether to pick up the 750ti and keep it until maxwell comes out, sell the 750ti, and pick up a gtx 860. Should I do this or just pick up something like the r9 270x and be done with it? I dont think I would be satisfied with the 750ti for more than half a year or so.

More about : 750ti gtx 800

750ti is maxwell, but its going to be quite a while until nvidia releases anything that will compete with the 760 or higher gpus. its likely going to be this time next year

Well, the 800 are "newborn" so theres not much to say about them, But an R9 270X will be a great choice for the next 3 years at least. Ii performs very good on the most demanding games such as BF4, metro last light... and is a recent card with a great future ahead.. I would take it just now.

Alright ill try to get enough money for the 270x it just sucks cause i planned this build for a while and all info was pointing towards a summer release for maxwell (at least i was hoping for). I should be fine with the 270x i was just hoping for maxwell (860) :(

Never had or seen one of these I suppose it is a reliable brand, but if I were you, I would take a ASUS, MSI, Sapphire, HIS, XFX.. even if it is a little bit more expansive

Power Color has been ATI/AMD exclusive board partner for a very long time.
