I want to purchase a new RAM for my laptop. I scanned my system's current RAM with crucial system scanner, and it showed the following results:
Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 8GB
Currently Installed Memory: 1GB
Total Memory Slots: 2
Available Memory Slots: 1
I wanted to ask that how to find out that which RAM will be compatible with my laptop? I mean that which things should I have to consider while buying it,so that it will be perfectly compatible with my system?

Solution
You need to look at your laptop's website or its manual. It should say. If it's only got 2 slots max 16GB. For the particular ram, you'll have to check the laptop's website and maybe ask the manufacturer.

I want to buy 2X2 GB RAM... It means I don't have to worry about the frequency, because those 2 RAMs will have the same frequency, since they will come in the same package... Is it?

Yes, as long as they are ddr3 in your case
