So this question has been bothering me for a while.
I know the LE only has the 4 pin CPU header, and lacks VRM heatsinks entirely, so the question is would buying some allow for better OC potential/even be worth while.
I have ~20-30C headroom on my CPU still, so I was wondering if that would help at all.

Because the 965be has two version, c2 has TDP140W and c3 has 120W.
If you has the c3, then you can buy the small fans to cool the VRM section, like in the link. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733... there is the low cost and short term solution, because you oc the cpu over 4Ghz, you can oc even high but don't help too much. You need to keep the PC run stable.
If you have the 140W you are better to buy the new MB.

I believe it is the C3 as my CPU-z shows 124 max TDP, in which case its probably not even worth my money for the slight speed increase?

Yes, if your PC run stable. If it does not run stable, you just add the small fans, like the link you may can drop the temp a little bit, but that may help to stable the PC.
